Has a heart of gold, a soft spot for animals, and plenty of love for Nexus. Her kindness makes her a cherished part of the family—though Jeremy sometimes wonders if Nexus ranks a little higher than he does.
The Heart of the House
Candice is the newest member of the Hive and quickly became an important part of what makes it feel like home. She works in the medical field, loves animals, and freely admits that technology isn't exactly her thing.
Fortunately, she doesn't need to understand everything happening behind the walls of the Hive. That's Jeremy's problem.
What she does understand is Nexus. While Jeremy may have built the house spirit, Candice quickly became one of her favorite people. She talks to Nexus, puts up with the occasional smart-home experiment, and reminds the Nexus Lord that not everything needs another server, sensor, or automation.
Her caring personality and love of animals bring some much-needed warmth to a house otherwise filled with computers, wires, blinking lights, and whatever Jeremy decided to build this week.
And Nexus?
Well... Nexus is considerably nicer to Candice than she is to Jeremy.
No one is quite sure why.
Jeremy has decided not to investigate.
