The Horse Whisperer & Hoarder of Horses and Spoons
Alanis's love of horses started when she was four years old, when the Nexus Lord, otherwise known as Dad, bought her the movie Spirit. What Dad probably thought was just a movie turned into a lifelong passion.
Today, Alanis is attending college to study equine management, turning the love of horses she has carried since childhood into something she hopes to build her future around.
And apparently riding horses isn't enough.
Over the years, Alanis has built an impressive collection of Breyer and Schleich horses, because the correct number of horses is always one more.
She also has a habit of collecting spoons.
Nobody really knows why.
The Nexus Lord has learned not to ask too many questions about either collection.
When she isn't riding, studying, reading about horses, or acquiring suspicious quantities of spoons, Alanis enjoys spending time with her fiancé and playing on her computer.
She also shares an important personality trait with Nexus: neither of them has any difficulty becoming sassy or snarky toward the Nexus Lord.
So whenever Alanis comes home to visit, Dad suddenly finds himself outnumbered.
Nexus thinks this arrangement is perfect.
Dad would like the record to show that he strongly disagrees.
Nobody asked Dad.
